The near western suburbs are an absolute commuter’s dream. You can be in the downtown Chicago by rail or car in about thirty minutes. Likewise, you can be at either of Chicago’s airports in under thirty minutes. Why would you want to spend more time than that commuting if you don’t have to?

Commuting to Chicago By Rail

The Metra commuter rail service is the train system in Chicago and its suburbs. The specific line which services the near western suburbs is called the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF). It’s fast, efficient, reliable and affordable. If you need to relax to and from work, this is the way to go.

Commuting to Chicago By Car

The beauty of the geographical positioning of the near western suburbs is such that they are located contiguous to multiple expressways and tollways. That means you have options. For example, the major eastbound/inbound (to Chicago) roadways are Interstate 55 (the Stevenson) and Interstate 290 (the Eisenhower). In the north/south direction (which is what you’d use to get to either airport), there is Interstate 294 (the Tri-State) and Route 83 (Kingery). Ease of access does not get any better in Chicagoland.

Commuting to Chicago By Air

Both airports, O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport, are within 30 minutes of the near western suburbs. Regardless of your frequent flier program preference, we have you covered with these two airports. As a lifetime user of these airports, I’d recommend taking a limo to O’Hare International Airport and driving to Midway Airport (you can park adjacent to the terminal).
